No Time To Rush
Chronic pain steals my attention.
It robs me of hours and days and weeks.
So I tend to rush around.
A lot.
I overplan and overfunction.
Making up for lost time.
Yet hurrying distracts me from my life, too.
I miss out on things.
I miss the morning smell of croissants from the bakery down the street.
I miss the witty jokes you tell from the kitchen.
And my puppy begging for snuggles.
Life is just so short and I don't want to miss any more than I have to.
So, in actuality, I really have no more time to rush.
